Peri & Menopause
These stages are a natural part of aging, and while every woman experiences them differently, recognising the signs and symptoms can help manage the transition effectively.
What is Peri Menopause?
Perimenopause is the transitional phase leading up to menopause. It typically begins several years before menopause as the ovaries gradually start producing less estrogen. This stage can last anywhere from a few months to up to 10 years.
Women generally enter perimenopause in their 40s, though it can start as early as their mid-30s or as late as their early 50s.
What is Menopause?
Menopause marks the end of a woman's menstrual cycles. It is officially diagnosed when a woman has gone 12 consecutive months without a period. This natural biological process marks the end of fertility.
The average age of menopause is around 51, though it can occur in a woman's 40s or even into her mid-50s.

What is Post Menopuase?
This stage follows menopause and lasts for the rest of a woman's life. During post menopause, menopausal symptoms may continue, but often lessen in severity.
